Minimundus amusement park
The Minimundus is a miniature park on the Wörthersee shore at Klagenfurt. It displays over 150 miniature models of architecture from around the world, built at a ratio of 1:25. It attracts youngs and adults for its architectural diversity as much as children for its areas for play.
About Minimundus
Minimundus miniature park opened in 1958 and offers a 26,000 square meters park with charming highly detailed reproductions of buildings and tourist wonders from all over the world, almost all of them built at a ratio of 1:25. Hence, it allows the visitors to compare the buildings according to their size: as for example, the Eiffel Tower stands next to the CN Tower and the Saint Peter’s Dome, the latter being close to the Stephansdom.
Outside its startling miniatures, Minimunbus regularly organizes events from the story teller for children, to concerts and night events for the elders. Still, the Minimundus park stands for a varied recreational field: an unforgettable experience for the whole family!
The aim of the Minimundus park is also laudable : in fact, the amusement park of the Wörthersee Lake shares a part of its profits with the association "Rettet das Kind”, of which Minimundus is the founder, to help the families and children in need.
